Broadcast Journalism
Jaguar News Network at Madison Central High School
From grabbing B roll at a local Walmart to leading a class of high school journalists, my job in the newsroom seems to extend out to my own home. Since my sophomore year, I have dedicated a lot of my personal time in and out of school to our journalism department at Madison Central. Originally a staff member on the yearbook since middle school, I was always interested in the aesthetics of things; Specifically photography. Going into my first High Tech Video Production class helped me learn that I absolutely loved the cinematography aspect of filmmaking. I transferred that love into my segments as a staff member of Jaguar News Network. From there, I showed tremendous leadership skills that landed me a spot as a Network Director in my junior year. I always care for my staff members as if they were my personal friends, while still keeping a strict exterior. My hard work and dedication to my staff has inspired them in their work.
