Elementary Parent Preview Videos

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Madison County School District continued the 20-21 school year online and in person, giving students the option to choose how they will be learning. For incoming preschoolers, parents of these children had no way of touring a school due to restrictions. Gene Wright, director of communications for the district, called upon the senior AMC interns at Madison Central High School to create "preview videos" for these parents. When these videos are viewed by the public, it gives new parents an idea of where they are enrolling their child, while also getting the know the administrators and teachers. My role as the production leader was different depending on the school I was working with. Some schools, I filmed and edited their video. Sometimes I only went to film. And for others, I scheduled and sent out a crew to get the job done. Overall, we accomplished our goal: create a safe way for parents to "tour" schools that they may enroll their child into.
